In the first session you will become familiar with the raw edge applique technique and have an opportunity to finish your piece at home. On the second session you can then make your piece into a bag, cushion, or wall-hanging if you wish.

Students are required to bring: their own sewing machine in good working order (2nd session only), sharp scissors, lead pencil, notebook and pen, 50cm main fabric (if making a bag or cushion bring extra fabric - 1m will be plenty), 50cm Iron or Tearaway Stabilizer, black thread, Vlizafix (fusible web - paper backed), bird and dragonfly fabrics - a variety of small pieces of blue, brown and other colours (5" square of each will do), size 12/80 machine needles.

Dates: 2 half day classes, Thursdays Oct 18, 25.

Time: 10am to 12:30pm

Cost: $110
