About This Workshop

Description: In this class, you'll explore the notion of mark making through experimentation. You'll make brushes from plant material and found objects, then use a variety of papers, fabrics, ink, paint and other media to see what marks can be created.

You'll also work in black and white to create a paper collage, try printing with Gelli plates, and learn some basic design principles to create a small work of art. Hand stitching will be explored as a means of mark making and enhancing a painted or printed design.

Learn to explore and experiment with mark making & leave with a small work of art.
