About This Workshop

Stitching should be relaxing and grounding, but sometimes it isn't. These three 2.5 hour Saturday afternoon classes will help you slow down and enjoy the process. Your tutor Robyn will lead you through a series of exercises so you stitch more and think less. You'll improve your skills and increase your intuition. You'll slow down and enjoy the process of stitching your sample piece to take home.

Date: Saturdays, 11, 18, 25 May 2019

Time: 1pm–4pm

Cost: $240 + materials fee

Tutor: Robyn Steel-Stickland

What to bring:

• A notepad, fine-liner, and pencil.

• Your basic sewing kit.

• Fabric — ideally a piece of soft aged linen, approx. 1m x 0.5m (some available for purchase in-store).

• A range of threads for stitching.

About the Tutor: Robyn Steel-Stickland has a qualification in art therapy, and around 20 years' experience teaching crafts and textiles. This class was inspired by Robyn's own stitching practice, the utter gorgeousness of silk, wool and cotton thread, and the intriguing history of vintage threads and textiles.
