About This Workshop

Do you have a big pile of images from magazines, photos and other sources that you’ve been saving up but you don’t know what for? In this workshop you will use those images (and others from our collection) to make a set of collage cards. Using your childhood skills of cut and paste, play and imagination, you will take images, and fragments of images from magazines, greeting cards, postcards, catalogues, calendars, and more.

You will learn basic design principles and simple layout skills to arrange the images, which are then glued onto a backing card.

Collage is very addictive, and is a fun way to develop your natural creativity and intuition. Collage can be used to think about what draws you to certain images. The cards you create can be used for daily inspiration, or to keep on your coffee table and enjoy.
