About This Workshop
In this class students will learn the art of counted cross stitch on linen, beginning with preparing linen for stitch through to stitching a small sample piece. We will finish by making your work framing your work into an embroidery hoop, or making it into a hanging decoration.
Skills you’ll learn:
- Setting up linen for cross stitching
- Basics of cross-stitch
- How to finish your cross-stitch by displaying it in an embroidery hoop or as a hanging decoration.
Beginners welcome , no previous experience required.
Date: January 10th 2019
Time: 10am to 4pm
Class fee: $145
Materials fee: $10 includes: piece of linen, cross-stitch needle, cotton threads, small hoop or backing material & stuffing and cross-stitch pattern. Embroidery hoops may be purchased from tutor for $13.
What to bring:
Basic sewing kit, pen, pencil, notepad .

Sue completed a Diploma of Textile Arts at Box Hill Institute in 2010 and has enjoyed aspects of creative textiles including weaving, patchwork and embroidery.
